Well my mothre has been getting up in age, and I wanted to look into getting some additional insurance for her since Medicare oly covers so much. I can only tell you now that having that extra insurance is a real blessing during difficult times. When you don’t have the money for the extra out of pocket expense, Medicare supplement Insurance is so small in comparison to what you might be paying.
If you are a son or a daughter, and your parents don’t have the money to cover these extra bills, then the responsibility really rests on you. And if you don’t have the money then who will pay them? I suggest you look into medigap insurance plans right away, and follow through on getting one of the A-L policies offered. They are quite reasonable, and it is easy to compare all the different policies you can get so your not going to get ripped off.
Save yourslef the headaches in the long run, and encourage your over 65 family members to look into what they have covered and what they don’t so they are aware of the extra cost.
