February 2024 Content Wrap-Up

Creating a summary of content and activities for the shortest month of the year, even with the additional day for the leap year, felt like a smaller effort than previous months. Here we are at the close of Month 30 of my daily posts, closing in on my goal of 1,000 posts in 1,000 days. I had a slight shift in content priorities this month, trying to wrap up some posts that had been sitting in draft mode for months. As a result, there are fewer AMAs posted this month. Don’t you worry — more recordings being scheduled for March and April!

No in-person events were planned for February, but I did manage to host a webinar with Shari Oswald, and co-host a second episode of my new governance show with Ragnar Heil. I also participated in the Tristate User Group’s panel to discuss takeaways from last year’s Ignite conference along with Stephen Rose and Microsoft’s Michelle Gilbert which was a blast. I’m such a huge fan of the panel discussion format — I get to share what I know while also learning from my fellow panelists.

My only planned March event will be the Microsoft MVP Summit the week of the 11th, but things will heat up again in April and not slow down until the fall, so watch for more in-person interviews, more Guardians of M365 Governance episodes (Sue Hanley will be joining in March, Erica Toelle in April), and the return of the CollabTalk TweetJam in late March…with a twist!

Until then, here is what I generated in February:

Articles

As I mentioned above, I had a few standalone article ideas in the hopper, as well as a 3-part series around the future of work. Enjoy!

  • The Future of Unified Communications [blog | YouTube]
  • The Keystone of Digital Transformation [blog]
  • The Role of Social Informatics in the AI Era [blog]
  • Governance in an AI and Cloud-Native World [blog]
  • Navigating the Future of Work (1/3) [blog]
  • Five-Stage Maturity Model for Digital Collaboration (2/3) [blog | maturity model]
  • Jump Starting the Digital Collaboration Maturity Model (3/3) [blog]

Interviews

As I say every month, interviewing people remains my favorite activity. I love hearing stories about the application of technology, and the impacts and evolution within corporate culture as people adopt and engage with collaboration tools. I continue to publish interviews with MVPs every Monday and various experts on AI, productivity, and collaboration every Thursday. Please subscribe!

AMA

More Ask-Me-Anything panel discussions being planned, answering questions directly from the community. And for those who missed the January live stream, we’re planning to do it again on a quarterly basis, with the next episode likely in early April.

  • How should I prepare my org for Copilot governance? #M365AMA [blog | YouTube]
  • How do I create an organizational structure in SharePoint? #M365AMA [blog | YouTube]

Blatant Self-Promotion

In case you missed it, my blog celebrated its 20th birthday on February 4th. As a reward, I migrated the site off of Azure (WordPress+Azure is not a good mix) and am continuing to make improvements to the site.

  • buckleyPLANET Turns 20 [blog]
  • January 2024 Content Wrap-Up [blog]

Music

And, of course, a couple music posts to share some of my favorite artists with the community.

  • Blue Plate Special: deadmau5 [blog]
  • Five Deep Tracks from David Bowie [blog]

As I stated above, not much travel planned for March, but the event season heats up in April and really doesn’t slow down until mid-December. I’ll be moderating a couple more webinars for TekkiGurus, and increasing my hours over there to help generate more shows and content. Until then…
