CEO’s on Collaboration
IBM’s consulting arm conducted an international survey of 765 CEO’s with some interesting results on collaboration:
- More than 70% find it critical, and yet
- only 47% of companies in mature markets say they collaborate extensively
- and <75% in emerging markets say the same
IT is cited in the survey as most supporting collaboration beyond the company walls, whether through informal brainstorming, collaborative design, or data sharing among far-flung employees and partners. However, CEO’s seem to be out of step with this thinking. (InformationWeek, 3/6/06)
