SharePoint Saturday Charlotte
I’m heading over to Charlotte, NC this afternoon to participate in another great SharePoint event – SharePoint Saturday Charlotte. I’ll be speaking again on “Metadata Management in a Social Media World” with new slides based on input and great conversations with Joel Oleson around our recent presentations to the Portland and Bend, Oregon SharePoint Users Groups last week.
The gist of my presentation: social computing is what unearths your content in SharePoint, and is the key to unlocking your metadata – especially in 2010. Metadata is what powers social media, and it needs to be managed. SharePoint 2010 adds new features, but the planning and management does not go away.
Some of my slides from SharePoint Saturday Boston are available here. See you in Charlotte!
