More Road Warrior Activities

Ah yes, the upcoming travel schedule. It’s actually been fairly quiet these past couple months, with just a handful of events. But the rest of the year is going to hit hard, and I’ll be attending and speaking at quite a few SharePoint events. I just returned from 3 days with my team in Los Angeles (El Segundo, specifically, or as I call it – TheGoo 022#TheGoo) working on some great new partnership opportunities, working with my California Sales Engineers (@jaliperti and @iamgoldberg) on forthcoming content, and to do some planning for our upcoming party at the SharePoint Conference (more on that in a second).

So here’s a quick overview of where I will be (as of this moment) over the next couple months:

SharePoint Saturday Bend (#SPSBEND)
Saturday, October 1st, Central Oregon Community College in Bend, OR
Website: http://www.sharepointsaturday.org/bend
Registration: http://spsbend.eventbrite.com
I am part of the organizing committee, Axceler is one of the Gold sponsors, and I will be presenting (I recused myself from the selection process, so I’m not yet sure which topic they selected. Should find out this weekend.)

SharePoint Conference 2011 (#SPC11)
Sunday, October 2nd through the 6th, Anaheim, CA
Website: http://www.mssharepointconference.com
Registration: http://www.mssharepointconference.com/pages/registrationpage.aspx
Axceler is throwing THE party of the event on Wednesday night, called #Oktoberfiesta. You can register here.

European SharePoint Conference (@europeansp)
Monday, October 17th through 20th, The Estrel, Berlin, Germany
Website: http://sharepointeurope.com/
Registration: http://sharepointeurope.com/Registration.aspx?type=delegate&id=0
Axceler is sponsoring, but I am presenting twice – on SharePoint migration and social computing. I did a webcast on my social topic this summer, and am scheduled to do another webcast next week on migration. Really looking forward to this show and spending more time with my London team.

Partner events in Brussels and Amsterdam
I depart Berlin late on Wednesday the 19th and fly into Brussels for a 2-day partner event, and then travel over the weekend (at a leisurely pace) to Amsterdam for a second partner event. I’ll be presenting on topics around migration.

SharePoint Saturdays in Richmond, VA and Nottingham UK
I’ll be writing more about these events as we draw closer to the dates, so I won’t go into great detail here. I don’t believe the official speaker details are posted, but I will be presenting in Richmond before kicking off an east coast SPUG tour. And then I hop right back on the place to London, and then a short train ride up to Nottingham for my first SharePoint Saturday outside of the US. Excited to be a part of it!

SPUG presentations in Princeton, Philadelphia, and Washington DC
And finally, I will be doing a lengthy road trip with my good friend and fellow SharePoint expert Virgil Carroll as we speak at 3 SharePoint user groups in 3 days: Princeton NJ, Philadelphia PA, and Washington DC. Virgil will be talking about governance, and I’ll be talking about social computing. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us as we drive several hundred miles over the course of the week. It should be an adventure.

I plan to take a couple weeks off in November to enjoy Thanksgiving and my 21st wedding anniversary before going back on the road in early December (2 more SharePoint Saturdays). It’s going to be another marathon, though.
