Lounge Singing at #NZSPC
A year ago, Paul Culmsee (@paulculmsee) and I performed a little ditty while in Wellington for the 3rd annual New Zealand SharePoint Conference. We called it ‘MOSS World’ sung to the song ‘Mad World’ written by Tears for Fears, but later recorded by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the soundtrack to the movie Donnie Darko.
It was post-conference and St. Patrick’s Day, and a handful of us were not drinking – and bored. So we wandered into a vacant hotel lobby, adjusted our lyrics, and performed the song for the camera. Mark Miller was on hand to capture some of the video, and Randy Williams captured some still shots. You can see the original video here.
Last night, Paul and I performed in the exhibit hall at the 4th annual NZSPC event in Auckland to a larger audience, captured on video by Dan McPherson:
My hope is that for next year’s event we can expand our repertoire. I have an idea for a song based on Bush’s song ‘Glycerine’ which I am calling “Administrate Me.’
