Update on Microsoft 365 in 365
As some of you may recall, I took up Tracy van der Schyff’s (@tracyvds) challenge to pen 365 posts on Microsoft 365 in a year, kicking off my official effort as of August 18th, and to conclude the ‘Microsoft 365 in 365’ challenge on August 17th, 2018. Well, I then proceeded to go on a series of long road trips, which, as should be obvious, impacted my ability to generate that volume of content. However, I still intend to hit that goal. I completed my 10th official 365-in-365 post this month, and have a template in place for how I plan to capture information and write about various topics that are relevant to Microsoft 365. Not everything I write will follow this template/pattern, but for those who are interested in how I work behind-the-scenes to generate such a high volume of content, this should give you some insight: I collect a lot of content and take copious notes within OneNote, and usually start my day by sorting through some of this, refining and organizing my lists, and then doing some quick research to round out a topic. Sometimes I sit on that research for weeks or months, depending on what customer projects are going on, and even have a number of draft posts waiting to be finished. Eventually, it all comes together, and there is suddenly a flurry of content activity on my personal blog or other sources.

It’s a decent start, but there’s much to do. Hoping to close much of the gap in January, in fact. Vlad, Harjit and I have been talking about trying to take the top spot on the Top 1,000 Tech Bloggers list, and if I can make some solid progress on catching back up to this goal, it’s possible I can hit the number one spot (I’ve reached #3 at one point). I have over 50 topics identified in OneNote, and as I say at the start of each of my monthly CollabTalk tweetjams, get ready to drink from the fire hose, people…
