#MVPbuzzChat with Tom Arbuthnot
In Episode 4 of the #MVPbuzzChat video series, I’m joined in the Microsoft Studios in Redmond, Washington by fellow Office Servers & Services MVP Tom Arbuthnot (@tomarbuthnot), who is a Principal Solutions Architect with Modality Systems, and is a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) in the Skype platform. In fact, Tom is one of the leading experts on the communications / telephony side of Skype and now Microsoft Teams, and like Harjit in Episode 1 of the series, was a Community Reporter last year at Microsoft Ignite, covering Teams and Microsoft evolving ‘Intelligent Communications’ strategy and messaging.
In fact, that’s the topic of our discussion in this video: the evolution of Skype for Business and its transition into Microsoft Teams, and how that has evolved Microsoft’s strategy around Skype and Teams, and how the messaging around ‘Unified Communications’ has become ‘Intelligent Communications.’ Tom and I have touched on this topic a couple times in our own conversations, and it was great to get on screen and share some of our thoughts about what is happening not only within Teams, but within the broader collaboration and knowledge management space. If you’re looking for an authority on this topic, you’ll definitely want to connect with Tom.
You can find out more about Tom and get in touch directly through Twitter, LinkedIn, his blog, his YouTube page, and his company website.
