#MVPbuzzChat with Becky Benishek

Image result for becky benishekIn Episode 21 of the #MVPbuzzChat interview series, I spoke with fellow Office Servers and Services MVP Becky Benishek (@beckybenishek), a Yammer experts and Online Communities Manager at Crisis Prevention Institute in Milwaukee, MI. She is also a children’s author, having published “What’s At the End of Your Nose?” and “Dr. Guinea Pig George.”

In this video, Becky and I discuss Yammer and its continued growth within the Office 365 ecosystem, and more specifically, we dive into the role of the community manager inside and outside of the enterprise. Becky is often writing about how organizations can extend the idea of ‘open collaboration’ to their customers through a dedicated Yammer External Network, which I agree with — and use for many of my virtual planning teams and research projects — along with analytics, eyeballs, and surveys to prove that the platform can help strengthen bonds within a company, in addition to all the great insights people can gain from each other. We also discussed some of the feedback around the most recent (April 2018) CollabTalk tweetjam on the topic of “Creating and Supporting a Successful Community“during  which we touched on many of the community management best practices that Becky, and other Yammer and social collaboration experts, advocate for on a regular basis.

If you would like to get in touch with Becky, you can find her on the Microsoft Tech Community, through LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and her personal website at https://beckybenishek.com
