New Microsoft Teams Adoption Guide
Over the past two years, many of my sessions at the various paid and community events I attend have focused on Microsoft Teams — always mentioning its relationship to SharePoint, of course — and, specifically, the topic of adoption and engagement. In fact, my personal observation of SharePoint Saturday events, for example, is that we’ve seen a shift in content and attendee interest from very developer-centric and IT Pro topics to more business and power-user topics, with ‘governance’ and ‘adoption’ being two of the most popular session topics.
When I’ve run my Teams workshop, alone or with Owen Allen (@owenallen), the most common request has been for additional adoption resources, cases studies, and other end-user guides. So when I saw the announcement that Microsoft had released the new Microsoft Teams Adoption Guide, I was thrilled to add another awesome tool to my toolkit. When used in conjunction with the SuccessWithTeams.com site (which is now hosted on https://docs.microsoft.com), organizations that are new to Teams will find just about everything they need to get started, and top manage their internal customer success.
Check out the new interactive guide:
In particular, those new to Teams can watch one of the many videos that walk through the core capabilities of Teams, including chat, team collaboration, meetings, calling features, and the mobile experience.

And while the more comprehensive information on Microsoft Teams can be found through the SuccessWithTeams.com site and within the resources of docs.microsoft.com, this visual guide provides a great jumpstart into the core support and training materials your end users are asking for.

One other recommendation — if you have not done so already, be sure to check out (and subscribe to) Coffee in the Cloud on YouTube, created by Microsoft’s Karuana Gatimu (@karuana), who is the PM Lead for Microsoft Teams Engineering. It’s a “the” place to stay on top of all of the latest news on Teams, so check it out!
