January 2020 #CollabTalk TweetJam Summary

January 28, 2020 #CollabTalk TweetJam on Team AnalyticsYesterday morning I hosted the first #CollabTalk TweetJam of the year — our 9th year of doing these online events — with a panel of experts, MVPs, RDs, and community members from around the world. What began in January of 2012 as an experiment to break free of the echo chamber of my own company walls, and to listen to outside voices from the community, has continued to provide amazing feedback and perspectives from so many. Thank you again to everyone who continues to participate in these events — and there are many who join in the discussions each and every month — and to lend your voices to this community effort. This year I am trying out something different, providing a short summary of each event directly following the tweetjam. I plan to add other familiar faces in the coming months. My goal is not to rehash the points of discussion, but to summarize what was shared and encourage the online discussion to continue. You can find my tweetjam summary, streamed live on Facebook, below.

For this month’s #CollabTalk TweetJam, our topic was “The Future of Team Analytics” with over 25 panelists participating. You can find details on each of the panelists on the original blog post (“Are Organizations Using Analytics Effectively?“), as well as the questions discussed over the course of the hour.  The end result of this community activity was 184 tweets, 1.31 million impressions, and 103k profiles reached. Sentiment ran from .84 to .54, averaging .70 for the entire event. Thank you again to our ongoing sponsor, tyGraph (https://tygraph.com/) for the amazing stats, which you can check out via Power BI here.

As always, the #CollabTalk TweetJam is open to the public, and anyone can participate — whether or not you are included on the panel of experts. There are many people who silently “lurk” with the occasional comment here and there, but all are welcome. In fact, if you ever see an upcoming tweetjam and feel that your expertise would add to the discussion, please DM me (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Email) and let me know that you would like to join the panel.

Speaking of the next panel — be sure to join us on Wednesday, February 26th for our next topic:
