#Loop365 Episode 3: Microsoft Search, Assistant & Intelligence

Image result for bill baerFor the third episode of the #Loop365 interview series, I was joined by former teammate and Senior Technical Product Manager Bill Baer (@williambaer). If you’ve been in the SharePoint space for any amount of time, you probably know Bill, who spent most of his Microsoft career on the SharePoint team managing the product marketing activities around SharePoint migration and administration. Last year, Bill made the move over to the Microsoft Search, Assistant and Intelligence (MSAI) team, and is now focused almost entirely on the pervasive feature-set of Microsoft Search.

In our 40-minute discussion, Bill provides me with a detailed overview and demo of the latest Microsoft Search capabilities, and explains how search impacts a number of features in other Microsoft workloads, including Cortana (the assistant part of his team), LinkedIn, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

If you have questions about Microsoft Search, please reach out to Bill directly. He’s one of the more approachable people at Microsoft, and depending on how busy he is, should respond to any inquiries within a day or two. You can find him on Twitter, LinkedIn, and via email wbaer @Microsoft.com
