Looking through my vinyl collection on #MusicFriday
For those who don’t follow me over on Facebook, I live streamed today and last Friday as I went through my vinyl collection, which have been packed away in protective crates for many, many years. It’s not a massive collection — most of my music collection is cd’s — but I’ve concentrated my vinyl collecting for the most part around albums and singles that are/were unavailable on cd. Of course, most of this is pre-music streaming, but a good portion of this collection is unavailable on any of the streaming services, although Spotify has continued to expand and items that were not available a year ago have suddenly appeared, which is great to see.
I’ve moved the records from their crates and onto wooden shelves in my home office, for easier access and to free up floor space, and these videos are just me going through each crate and talking about their contents, with a little band history sprinkled in. I may add a Part 3 as I go through my 7-inch singles next week, and will append this blog post if I do. Enjoy!
If you have any rarities from some of the bands I’ve mentioned that you’re looking to sell or trade, drop me a line.
