Microsoft Community Office Hours, Episode 13
Our 13th episode of “Microsoft Community Office Hours” was cut in half this week (no EMEA edition) due to the morning overlap with the GlobalCon2 event for which I was a panelists…and included a summary of Jeff Teper’s keynote and some AMA discussion via live stream. However, the evening session (APAC) went forward as planned, with a live stream on the Office 365 Community page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Office365Community/).
If you like this format, be sure to join us every Monday at 8am (for EMEA) and 6pm (for APAC) following the ask-me-anything (AMA) format. The AMA allows us to connect with each other and also help anyone in the community with questions about Microsoft products and services. If you have questions about Microsoft products or services, please feel free to post them here, on the FB page, or send to me via Twitter or FB direct message.
In this 13th episode, I was joined once again by Sean McDonough, MVP (@spmcdonough), Hal Hostetler, MVP (@TVWizard), and Microsoft’s own Neil Hodgkinson (@Nellymo) . Topics covered this week included:
- Sean tells stories of candle-making [:31]
- Why there was no live stream this morning — GlobalCon2 Day 1 recap [2:59]
- Why can’t I see everything on my colleague’s calendar when I have all permissions? [5:35]
- Where can I see all new updates/releases for Microsoft 365? [13:01]
- Rob’s foot gets a shout-out [17:29]
- Recommendations for MFA for VPN in GCC (punt to Dan Usher) [21:31]
- Why can’t I record a Teams meeting created in a private channel? [27:32]
- That “thing” is Chewbacca, Neil [32:16]
- Christian doesn’t care for Park City [34:22]
- When I upload a file in a Teams chat, where does it go? [41:09]
- Neil gets on the soapbox about the importance of understanding how the products work, why they work the way they do [45:18]
- Microsoft wants your product feedback! [58:04]
- Comparing t-shirt designs, and then Neil takes it too far… [1:02:27]
Or, you can watch the entire recording here:
If you would like to join one of these sessions as a panelist or to ask questions, you can find us live streaming on Facebook at 8am and 6pm Pacific every Monday during this quarantine period throughout May, possibly into June.
