What is the best way to restore a SharePoint 2013 farm? #M365AMA
In this episode, the #M365AMA panel discusses the following community question:
“I need to restore a Sharepoint 2013 farm, but i don’t know where and how to start. I have 2 Front end servers, 2 application servers and 1 SQL 2012 Enterprise edition server. I have the backup of the 2 FE and App Servers and i have reinstalled the SQL servers and attached databases from backup, but i’m missing something and for that i need your help. What is the best practice in my case?”

Some relevant notes/links shared by the team:
- As Sharon pleads emphatically, hire a professional!
- Shari adds that unless the backups were captured using SharePoint’s built-in farm-level backup or a third-party tool approved for the job, getting the whole farm back isn’t going to be a likely outcome. It doesn’t mean you’re without options, though; focus on the data you’re trying to get back and plan your restoration from there.
