Job Status

Just wanted to provide a quick update on my job status since leaving AvePoint in December. Quite a few people have been reaching out — and thank you for that. As we enter (or are already within) a recession, it’s never easy to stop and start again. Thankfully, my network has once again stepped up and found some fantastic opportunities. In fact, on the morning of the RIF as I was preparing to depart on vacation to Hawaii, I sent a few quick emails and, amazingly, while I was in the Salt Lake airport waiting for my first flight, I received a call with a contract offer for a small project. That’s the power of networking.

Now, as for what I am up to: well, I am once again consulting through CollabTalk, working on multiple contracts at the moment. I’m also continuing to advise two startups, and, of course, do a lot of writing and video production for the blog and my YouTube channel (have you subscribed yet??). But as many of you are aware, I also joined the board of a new Microsoft technology-focused site that is getting ready to launch in February, and am helping to drive their content strategy. Lots happening, and a press release should hit soon with more public details.

If you are a content creator around the Microsoft stack (SharePoint, Teams, Azure, Power Platform, etc) and have dreamed of creating a writing side gig, please reach out to me. We are looking for authors.

Additionally, I will be working with another Microsoft ISV to expand their North American channel. Details are still being figured out, and, once again…. a press release is forthcoming.
