Optimize Your Licenses, Storage, and Consumption

In a webinar yesterday hosted by the Rencore team, I presented on the topics of operational optimization and governance for a session titled “What you have to know about Microsoft’s cloud pricing increase – and how you can still save money!” If you missed the broadcast, you can watch the recording here:

Rencore webinar

Some key takeaways from my session:

  • Microsoft is moving to global US Dollar pricing as of April 1st, raising pricing for some regions between 9% and 15%
  • Organizations can reduce costs even more through proactive management of their growth, by unlocking data siloes, by understanding their license usage, and through automation
  • Governance of M365 can be tedious and manual using out-of-the-box capabilities and navigating admin centers and audit logs, but there is a better way!

I was joined by Rencore’s Partner & Alliance Manager, Charles Collins-Hooper, who walked through the Rencore Governance platform, demonstrating how organizations can effectively manage one or more tenants, whether on-prem or online, and reduce their costs on licenses, storage, and consumption.

Check out the recording above, or take a look at my slides — which also include links to a Governance Cost Savings Calculator, an invitation to schedule a 1:1 walkthrough of the platform, and access to a free trial — using demo data, or against your own production system.
