June 2023 Content Wrap-Up
One of the best reasons to track your prior month’s activities — aside from the historical record of your events and content — is that it affords you the opportunity to reflect. In this modern world, I don’t think we spend enough time reflecting. As I wrap up another month of daily posts, closing out month 22 of my 24 month goal of daily posts on this blog, I am amazed at the sheer number of interviews and conversations that I have in a month, and grateful to be a part of this amazing technology community.
You know you enjoy your work when you wake up each morning enthusiastic about the day ahead – no matter how crazy your schedule. Between Rencore’s astronomical growth, helping to launch and grow TekkiGurus, participation in the Microsoft for Startups mentoring program, and my weekly interviews with fellow MVPs and RDs from around the world, things are incredibly busy and yet I’m having a blast.
June was meant to be a quiet month as I prepare for travels in July and August (and every month after that), with my only events being the monthly CollabTalk TweetJam and a Rencore webinar with good friend and partner, Stacy Deere— which both happened on the same day (the 28th). In July, another webinar (M365 Best Practices: How to Measure and Improve Productivity, July 19th) and a trip to Munich, Germany to participate in Rencore’s 10th anniversary celebration. For July’s tweetjam (on the 26th at 9am PT), Verizon Business is sponsoring our discussion on “The Future of Business Communications” where we’ll talk about the past and future of unified comms. And then in August, I’ll be attending both the Digital Workplace Conference in Melbourne, Australia, and the 365 EduCon Seattle event.
Hope to see you at one of these events! In the meantime, here’s what I produced in the month of June:
CollabTalk Podcast and MVPbuzzChat Interviews
It was a busy month for the podcast, with 4 different executives/experts from the collaboration and AI community, as well as 4 MVP interviews. I also put together a quick summary blog post to highlight more recent episodes that focus on AI, since it’s such a hot topic.

The first of many Rencore webinars
Had a great governance discussion with fellow MVP and Rencore partner, Stacy Deere (Focal Point Solutions) for June’s webinar. I’m getting back into the webinar rhythm, with plans to participate in 1 or more webinars per month for the remainder of the year. As much as I love speaking at conferences, honestly, I can reach more people through webinars and content, and so I am being really picky about the events I attend, focusing more on channel building than speaking. Burt don’t worry — the content and videos will not slow down…

More Microsoft 365 AMA panels (Ask-Me-Anything)
For June, the #M365AMA expert panel answered 13 (lucky 13!) more community questions asked on various community forums and boards. If you have a question that you would like us to tackle, please let me know. We’re planning to record a couple more sessions in July, and (hopefully) should have some dates soon for one or more extended live stream sessions. That’s right — we’re getting the band back together! (No, not HorsesEnd, for those in the know).

Monthly CollabTalk TweetJam
Still one of my favorite online discussions each month, for June we talked about Microsoft slogan of “Doing More With Less” and the myths and realities of getting more out of the technology you already own. Check out the questions, and please share your feedback. I did a follow-up recording with fellow MVP + RD, Sharon Weaver (Smarter Consulting) which will be published in July over on TekkiGurus, so be sure to check that out.

More of my favorite music
I added three posts this past month on music, sharing some of my favorites from the Duran Duran catalog, as well as introducing most of you to Djuma Soundsystem and 80’s new wave band, King. Enjoy!
And that’s it for June. Busy month ahead with content going live on TekkiGurus and the Rencore blog, plus wrapping up a side project with Exclaimer before starting a couple of new content side projects. Keep watching this space for updates!
