Can I change the address of my M365 environment? #M365AMA

In this episode, the #M365AMA panel discusses the following community question:

“I have a client with M365. Used to be with Sherweb Canada as a reseller. The address of the clients M365 had to be in the US even though they were in AU, something to do with Sherweb not able to resell in AU. Microsoft first line said we cannot change the address from US to AU. Because of this we cannot then add their tenant to Pax8 Australia. Anyone have a solution for this?”

  • No, the consensus on the panel is that this is a legal issue. If Microsoft Support is telling them they can’t do it, they must have given a reason why & we’re guessing that it’s a legal issue. We recommend that you go back to support and have it escalated.
