How Much Productivity is Too Much?
The quest for heightened productivity is constant. Productivity is multifaceted, and shaped significantly by technology. In today’s fast-paced work environment, we’re all looking for ways to be more productive, and technology is right at the center of this quest. How organizations define and measure productivity and the role tech tools play in those definitions can vary widely. How well are we tracking and measuring our productivity, really?
Microsoft 365 has been transformational within the enterprise, but what will be the future of collaboration and productivity? Looking ahead, AI tools like Copilot are shaking things up and changing how we tackle tasks. Organizations are also turning their attention to the importance of tracking and gathering insights and suggestions on how systems can be optimized, and employees can do more with less. The question is: does your organization have a good handle on productivity? Is there a plan, and how well are you executing that plan?
In the next #CollabTalk TweetJam taking place on Wednesday, September 27th at 9am Pacific, the community will once again join forces and have a focused discussion on the topic of “Measuring Workplace Productivity” where we will assess the impact of Microsoft 365 tools and the challenges during their deployment and adoption. We’ll share our personal insights and experiences and dig deeper into the bonds between tech and productivity, imagining what the future might hold in this area.
In this 1-hour Twitter-based panel discussion, we’ll bring together MVPs and Regional Directors, community experts, partners, consultants, and practitioners to share their perspectives on this important topic.
Anyone can join this community discussion using Twitter and the #CollabTalk hashtag or your favorite Twitter platform. You don’t even need to be an “expert” to participate in the online conversation. Anyone can ask questions, comment on the questions posed, or just “lurk” in the background. These online discussions are open to anyone — you do not have to be on the panel to participate.
This month’s tweetjam is being sponsored by TekkiGurus. Thanks for your support!
If you have never participated in one of these tweetjams, it’s pretty simple: anyone can jump in and share their thoughts, or just lurk in the wings and absorb the wisdom of the crowd. Either way, it’ll be a TON of content to consume in a single hour. You can follow the live session using the Twitter UI of your choice (Twitter.com, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, whatever). How it works is that I’ll post a series of questions every few minutes, and people will respond to Q1, Q2, Q3 and so forth with A1, A2, A3, always including the #CollabTalk hashtag with their answers. Feel free to reply as often (or as little) as you’d like, ask your own follow-up questions, share relevant links, re-tweet others, and engage with the audience.
The questions we will discuss during the session include:
- How do you define productivity within your personal and professional spheres, and in what ways does technology influence this definition?
- Are there specific metrics or qualitative aspects you consider when measuring workplace productivity?
- How has the integration of technology, especially productivity tools, changed the dynamics of your workplace, and have these changes been predominantly positive or negative?
- Which Microsoft 365 tools have you or your organization found most valuable in enhancing productivity on a day-to-day basis?
- How do you envision AI tools like Copilot shaping the future of work, and will AI significantly alter your approach to tasks and overall productivity?
- What barriers and challenges have you or your organization encountered when deploying and adopting new productivity solutions?
- What feedback or suggestions would you provide to Microsoft for enhancing the existing productivity tools or introducing new features to better accommodate the diverse needs of users?
Of course, there will be many side questions, side conversations, and wise-cracking shenanigans. This is open to the public, so please join in the discussion! The dialog is always thought-provoking and fun.
