How do I add managed properties to a sub-site? #M365AMA
In this episode, the #M365AMA panel discusses the following community question:
“I have the following situation, I created a subsite, and I added a column that I need to use in the managed properties in the refinable string, but opening the option in the subsite, all is disabled (I have full control of the page. ) Should I do it on the parent site? Any idea? Thank you in advance !!”

- A note from MVP Sean McDonough (who could not make this recording): Generally speaking, you’re going to need define the columns you want to promote/map to managed properties at the site collection level, not in a sub-site. Also, use of subsites isn’t consistent with Microsoft’s “flat world” direction going forward.
