Some relevant notes/links shared by the team:
- Wow, there are a LOT of complaints about the Teams app for Android devices. And, unfortunately, I’ve not been able to find any definitive comparisons between Android, iOS and Windows versions to help navigate. Here’s an older (2020) post on the topic with some likely outdated feature comparisons [https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/compare-features-of-ms-teams-web-desktop-mobile/0a7c57dc-ed98-47f2-a80b-8ff9f6cf1e28]
- Another similar post (also 2020) from TechRepublic pointing out some of the differences [https://www.techrepublic.com/article/microsoft-teams-is-different-on-desktop-ios-and-android-heres-what-you-need-to-know/]
- App version, device, country/region, and licenses type all factor into your Android app experience, unfortunately. Please be sure to post your experiences and solicit feedback over on the Microsoft Tech Community site, as the product teams watch those forums and often respond quickly [https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/bd-p/MicrosoftTeams]
