How do I give external guests write access in M365? #M365AMA
In this episode, the #M365AMA panel discusses the following community question:
“I wonder if someone could help me. We‘re using Skype for business OnPrem and some of our customers complaining about joining meetings. Sometimes it takes several minutes to let you join a meeting. Have you ever experienced something like this? We can’t really see anything on the Skype for business server. Could it be related to the hardware itself for example drivers? Thanks in advance.”

Some relevant notes/links shared by the team:
- When sharing an Office document with s user who does NOT have an Office subscription, you can still give them the permissions to read and/or edit your document. More info from Microsoft Learn [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-your-documents-651e1cb9-9a51-46dc-8d32-bdb7d928eedd]
- However, the user experience described here illustrates one limitation: the ability to create net-new artifacts, such as a Word document. There are some limitations to being an unlicensed guest user – but there are many other capabilities.
