Some relevant notes/links shared by the team:

  • The “official” answer from Microsoft is that there is no way to sync the content/data between two Teams tenants. If you were to replicate the site architecture and layout, there are methods for moving (migrating) content between tenants. While not real-time sync solutions, there are some 3rd party migration solutions that could look for new/changed content and automate the migration process.
  • Microsoft recommends two methods for moving content between two Teams environments, but neither will provide the 2-way sync you are asking for:
  • In the past, there are been 2-way sync solutions offered by ISVs in the community to cover specific customer scenarios. Quest (who acquired Metalogix) used to offer this kind of sync solution, but I’m not sure if this product is still supported. It may have been rolled into their Content Matrix platform. Talk to the leading migration vendors to see what is currently supported (ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, BitTitan, etc).
