#MVPbuzzChat with Magnus Mårtensson
In Episode 15 of #MVPbuzzChat, I caught up with Magnus Mårtensson (@noopman), the first Azure MVP awarded from the Nordics, and CEO of Loftysoft, a consulting firm focused on helping customers get cloudy. Magnus is also a member of a very exclusive group of Microsoft Regional Directors, who work closely with Microsoft leadership to share customer and partner perspectives on product and services, as well as industry trends. As with most RDs and MVPs, he can be found speaking at events all over the world, but also helps organize them as one of the founders of the Global Azure Bootcamp (https://global.azurebootcamp.net/) which runs annually in 250 locations around the world, with more than 10,000 attendees.
As I mention at the start of the video, Magnus and I met last year at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida when we were both selected to represent the community as MVP Community Reporters, interviewing speakers and attendees during the live Monday broadcast of the different keynotes, and throughout the week. We had a lot of fun, and I think all of us would be willing to do it again — but it was a ton of work, which was on top of sessions that all of us had, booth duties, and other meetings and community activities. Personally, I was exhausted at the end of Ignite, and i can’t wait to do it all again!
Magnus explains some of what he covers with customers to help them transition to the cloud, and all of the many resources available through Azure. In fact, he goes through a specific customer example (without naming names) and talks about some of the realities of a multi-geo enterprise trying to make data accessible and business system high-performing across all of these locations using Azure Cosmos DB, Service Fabric, and other key services available through Azure.
If you would like to connect directly with Magnus, you can usually find him online through the Microsoft Tech Community, Twitter, LinkedIn, and/or Facebook.
